What is XMR.gives?Getting started
XMR.gives is a Monero mining gateway with registered miner accounts, a reward ledger, live statistics, dedicated raffle mining routes, referrals, and role-protected administration. It gives miners one place to find connection settings, maintain a payout wallet, inspect tickets, and follow recorded payouts.
What do I need before I can mine?Getting started
You need RandomX-capable mining software or a compatible rental rig, an email address, and a Monero wallet address you control. Register first so the gateway can match your miner username to your account. You never need to provide private wallet keys.
Where do I create an account?Getting started
Use the Create miner account page. Enter your name or mining-operation name, email, wallet, and a password of at least eight characters. Registration signs you in and creates your worker identity.
Can I mine without registering?Getting started
The gateway may still forward work from an unknown username, but it cannot reliably attribute that work to a client account. Unknown workers do not receive account-linked share tickets or dashboard credit. Register and use the exact worker name shown under Connect.
Which coin and algorithm does the pool use?Getting started
The pool mines Monero using RandomX. Standard miner software generally labels the algorithm
rx/0; NiceHash labels it RandomXmonero. What is the fastest way to confirm my miner works?Getting started
Check that the miner reports a successful login, receives jobs, and submits accepted work. Then open your account dashboard and raffle page. Public stats confirm aggregate network activity but are not a substitute for the accepted-share line in your own miner console.
What is the standard pool address?Connections
Use
xmr.xmr.gives:3334, username equal to your registered worker name, password x, algorithm rx/0, and TLS off. What settings do I enter in XMRig?Connections
Set URL to
xmr.xmr.gives:3334, user to the worker name shown in Dashboard → Connect, pass to x, and coin/algorithm to Monero or rx/0. The endpoint is plain stratum+tcp, not TLS.What settings do I enter in NiceHash?Connections
Choose
RandomXmonero, hostname xmr.xmr.gives, port 3335, your registered worker name as username, x as password, and disable TLS/SSL. The dedicated compatibility port normalizes the protocol expected by the mining backend. Why does NiceHash say it received invalid work?Connections
The common causes are using the standard miner port instead of 3335, selecting a non-Monero RandomX variant, or enabling TLS. Recreate the pool entry with RandomXmonero and the dedicated NiceHash port. Also ensure no proxy between the rig and pool rewrites Stratum JSON.
What should I use as the Stratum password?Connections
Use
x. It is a protocol placeholder, not your account password. Never put your website password, wallet seed, or private key in mining software.Does Stratum support TLS?Connections
No. Current endpoints use plain TCP Stratum and must be configured with TLS/SSL off. Website traffic is separately protected by HTTPS.
Can I use multiple rigs on one account?Connections
Yes. Use the assigned worker name on every rig. A dot suffix such as
worker.rig01 or worker.rig02 resolves to the base worker where supported, allowing rigs to remain identifiable in their local logs while sharing one account. Can I use my wallet address as the miner username?Connections
No. Use the registered worker identity shown in the dashboard. The collection and payout model is account-based, so a wallet placed in the username field will generally be unattributed.
Which ports belong to each raffle?Connections
Weekly uses 3334, Standard Raffle uses 3336, MAX uses 3337, and All-In uses 3338. NiceHash-compatible weekly mining uses 3335. Every endpoint is hosted at
xmr.xmr.gives.Can I switch raffle routes?Connections
Yes. Stop or reconfigure the miner and point it to another route. New accepted work follows the new route’s allocation and ticket rule. Existing tickets and ledger entries stay with the round and route where they were created.
What happens if the upstream mining backend disconnects?Connections
The gateway closes the affected client connection and the miner should reconnect according to its own retry settings. The system records the raffle mining session as ended. Configure more than one retry and a sensible delay in your miner.
What raffle programs exist?Raffles
There are four programs: Weekly Raffle, Standard Raffle, MAX, and All-In. They have separate endpoints, rounds, allocation rates, ticket populations, schedules, and prize tiers. See the program table for the complete comparison.
What does mandatory raffle allocation mean?Raffles
It is the published percentage of gross mining rewards assigned to the selected raffle program before the miner net balance is credited. Selecting a route means accepting that route’s allocation. It is not an optional checkbox after work is submitted.
How much does the Weekly Raffle allocate?Raffles
The Weekly Raffle allocates 1% and publishes a 7 XMR first prize. It uses an eligible-block ticket rule and draws Friday at 17:00 GMT+2.
How does Standard Raffle work?Raffles
Standard Raffle allocates 20% of gross route rewards, issues one ticket for each accepted fixed-difficulty share, publishes a 30 XMR first prize, and draws Sunday at 17:00 GMT+2.
How does MAX work?Raffles
MAX allocates 40%, issues one ticket for each accepted fixed-difficulty share, publishes 100 XMR first prize and 10 XMR second prize, and draws Wednesday at 17:00 GMT+2.
How does All-In work?Raffles
All-In allocates 70%, issues one ticket for each accepted fixed-difficulty share, publishes 300 XMR first prize and 50 XMR second prize, and draws Thursday at 17:00 GMT+2.
How is a ticket number created?Raffles
The system generates a random seven-digit value from 0000000 through 9999999 and enforces uniqueness inside the program round. A ticket is linked to one account, one round, its source, and, for share tickets, a unique share key.
Can the same accepted share create duplicate tickets?Raffles
No. The stored share key is unique for its program. A repeated upstream response or duplicate submission returns the existing ticket relationship instead of creating another entry.
Why did an accepted share not create a ticket?Raffles
First confirm that you used Standard Raffle, MAX, or All-In. Then confirm your username maps to a registered account and the upstream response explicitly accepted the share. The Weekly route does not issue a ticket for every ordinary accepted share because its configured rule is eligible block.
Can an admin create a manual ticket?Raffles
Yes. An administrator can select a miner and program, after which the system generates a unique random seven-digit ticket marked with a manual source. Manual creation is logged in the raffle database and should be governed by the operator’s published terms.
How long must I mine to be eligible for a draw?Raffles
The system requires at least 3,600 seconds of recorded mining-session time in that round and at least one ticket. Time is accumulated from recognized sessions; stale sessions stop accumulating after the freshness allowance.
Does one hour of mining guarantee a ticket?Raffles
No. Time and ticket ownership are separate conditions. You need both. On share-based routes a ticket requires an accepted share; on the Weekly route it requires an eligible attributed block or an authorized operational ticket.
Who chooses the winner?Raffles
LoveMedia Foundation NPC supplies the winner as the external source of truth. The web application does not perform or reconstruct the external random draw. An authorized admin enters the supplied wallet, and the system verifies that it belongs to the eligible round population.
Can an admin enter any wallet as winner?Raffles
No. The wallet must exactly match a miner who has at least one round ticket and at least one hour of recorded mining time. The round must also be in drawing state, and each prize rank can be recorded only once.
What happens when all winners are recorded?Raffles
The round becomes complete after every configured prize rank has a result. The client dashboard can then display masked winners and payout status, while a new open round is maintained for future entries.
Are prizes paid automatically?Raffles
No. The dashboard records the amount assigned to a winner and the supporting reward evidence. A displayed “Reward allocated” state confirms that assignment record; it is not an on-chain transaction receipt.
Why are prize amounts shown without decimals?Raffles
Configured prizes are whole XMR values, so the product intentionally displays 30 XMR rather than 30.000000000000 XMR. Actual payout records allow one whole-number part and up to five decimal places.
What is the launch pool fee?Balances
The configured launch pool fee is 0%. Raffle allocations are separate and depend on the endpoint selected. Always distinguish the pool fee from the published raffle allocation.
What does unpaid balance mean?Balances
It is the current ledger amount owed to the miner after recorded credits, published raffle allocations, authorized adjustments, and prior payouts. It is an application liability record, not a live wallet balance.
What is the minimum payout?Balances
The configured minimum payout is 0.003 XMR. Because payouts are operated manually, reaching the minimum makes an amount eligible for the operator workflow but does not itself broadcast a transaction.
How are share-route rewards divided?Balances
For a selected round settlement, gross XMR is divided according to each account’s accepted-share count. Each account’s route allocation is deducted, and the remaining net amount is credited to that miner. Rounding is reconciled on the final distribution row.
Can an admin pay more than my balance?Balances
No. Miner payout recording is rejected when the amount is zero, negative, or greater than the stored unpaid balance.
Can balances be adjusted?Balances
An admin can add a manual credit or apply a pool-fee, electricity, or hardware deduction with a written description. A deduction cannot exceed the available unpaid balance and creates a corresponding operator reserve entry.
What is Banked XMR?Balances
Banked XMR is the calculated operator reserve: operator-side ledger credits less recorded reserve withdrawals. It is not queried from a wallet. The admin cannot record a withdrawal larger than the reserve ledger balance.
Does recording a payout send XMR?Balances
No. Recording confirms that an external payment was made and stores the reference. The system does not hold private wallet keys or call a wallet RPC to transfer funds.
Why is there only one transaction in my wallet?Balances
The application may contain multiple reward accruals while the wallet shows only completed on-chain payouts. Ledger credits, raffle entries, and pending balances are not blockchain transactions. Compare the dashboard payout history and transaction IDs with the wallet’s synchronized history.
How many coins have I found?Balances
“Blocks found,” unpaid XMR, paid XMR, and raffle prizes are different values. Use the dashboard for stored account totals and your wallet for confirmed transfers. A found block does not mean the full block reward belongs to one miner under PPLNS.
Where can I change my payout wallet?Account
Open Dashboard → Connect, enter the replacement Monero address, and save it. The change applies prospectively and does not alter old payout references.
Which wallet formats are accepted?Account
Valid Monero primary addresses beginning with 4, subaddresses beginning with 8, and supported integrated-length addresses using the Monero Base58 character set are accepted. A malformed, shortened, or whitespace-containing address is rejected.
Does XMR.gives need my seed phrase?Account
No. Never enter a seed phrase, private view key, private spend key, exchange password, or authentication code anywhere in this application or mining configuration.
How long does login last?Account
A valid session lasts up to seven days. Logging out deletes the session cookie. Expired, invalid, or tampered tokens redirect back to login.
Can a miner open admin pages?Account
No. The application checks the session role in the admin shell and again inside every privileged server action. Miner accounts are redirected to their dashboard.
How does the referral link work?Account
Every miner has a unique referral code embedded in the registration URL. A new miner who registers through that URL is linked to the referrer for reporting. Referrals do not currently alter reward calculations or ticket counts.
Can I stop raffle announcement emails?Account
Yes. Clear the email preference in your dashboard or use the unsubscribe link in a result email. This changes only raffle announcements; it does not delete the account, wallet, balance, or tickets.
How often do Pool Stats update?Statistics
The page requests fresh data every three seconds. Both the browser request and server API disable caching. The displayed update time reflects when the server assembled the current response.
What does Reconnecting mean?Statistics
The latest aggregate-stat request failed or the upstream data source was incomplete. It does not automatically mean the Stratum endpoints are offline. Check your miner’s job and share messages separately.
Why do mainchain and sharechain heights differ?Statistics
They count different sequences of blocks. The mainchain height follows Monero’s blockchain; the sharechain height follows the pool reward-accounting chain. They are expected to differ.
Why does public hashrate differ from my dashboard?Statistics
Public hashrate is an aggregate estimate from the current mining network. Dashboard hashrate is an account-specific stored metric. They differ in scope, update path, and averaging period.
How can I monitor the host’s live mining logs?Statistics
Host operators can use
journalctl -u xmrig.service -f for the local miner and the relevant XMR.gives Stratum service for gateway logs. Ordinary client users should use their miner console and dashboard because host journals require server access. How are passwords protected?Security
Account passwords are hashed with bcrypt at cost 12. Session tokens are signed, kept in HTTP-only cookies, use same-site protection, and are marked secure in production.
Is the website encrypted?Security
Yes.
https://xmr.gives is served over HTTPS. Mining Stratum is a separate plain-TCP service, which is why its password must remain the non-sensitive placeholder x.Is the master wallet publicly exposed?Security
No. The public pool-config API removes the master collection wallet. It is available only to authorized operational views and host configuration.
What data appears in winner announcements?Security
The winner receives their full wallet in their private congratulatory email. Other opted-in miners see only the first four and final four characters. The client results page also masks the public winner wallet.
What should I include when reporting a problem?Security
Include the approximate time with timezone, endpoint and port, miner software/version, algorithm, worker name with sensitive parts minimized, and the exact error. Never send a password, private key, seed phrase, or full session cookie.
How are winner emails delivered?Operations
The app writes durable outbox rows and a separate worker sends them through authenticated STARTTLS SMTP. Successful and failed deliveries receive status records, and admin can retry failures after correcting the mail service.
Can the same winner email be queued twice?Operations
The outbox uses an event key plus recipient as an idempotency boundary. Re-running the queue operation for the same result does not create a duplicate message for that recipient.
What should be backed up?Operations
Back up both
data/xmr-gives.json and data/raffles.sqlite as one recovery set, plus protected environment and service configuration through the operator’s secret-management process. Never publish a backup containing password hashes, emails, wallets, or SMTP credentials. Can the app run as multiple web instances?Operations
Not safely in its current host-local storage design. Concurrent writable instances need a coordinated transactional database and migration plan. The current deployment is a single application host with separate service processes.
Can an administrator mine and enter raffles?Operations
Yes. An administrator with a mining profile can use the worker identity shown on the client Connect page, mine on any published route, earn share-based tickets, satisfy the same one-hour eligibility rule, and appear in the potential-winner population. The admin role does not grant extra automatic tickets.
What does the app not automate?Operations
It does not custody keys, broadcast Monero transfers, verify exchange payments, choose external raffle winners, prove prize funding, or automatically ingest eligible Weekly block tickets. Those are controlled operational workflows with records added by authorized staff.
Before requesting help
Record the exact error, timestamp with timezone, hostname, port, algorithm, mining-software version, and whether TLS was enabled. Compare your settings with Dashboard → Connect and check the live stats page. Do not include wallet seeds, private keys, account passwords, SMTP credentials, or session cookies.
For accounting questions, distinguish the gross reward, route allocation, unpaid balance, recorded payout, wallet transaction, raffle prize, and raffle payout reference. Those are separate records and often explain apparently conflicting totals.
